Artist Biography
David Blanchard is an artist from Tooele, Utah, who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Utah Valley University with a BFA in Painting and Drawing. Their work especially focuses on surrealist oil paintings, but also includes printmaking, watercolor, and various drawing media. Beyond their capstone exhibition A Boat Rolled Out Onto the Lake of Dust for a Swim in the Deep End of the Earth, Blanchard has participated in several local exhibitions and co-curated the Revealing Unknowns exhibition at UVU. Additionally, their work has been published in the university journals Untold, Warp & Weave, Touchstones, and the Journal of Student Leadership, and they've begun writing for 15 Bytes since graduation.
